Since its rookie season G3's ION alpine touring binding has collected 3+ prestigious Editor's choice awards each season and spawned a whole series of lightweight tech bindings including the ION 10 and lighter ION LT 12. Coveted by skiers around the globe, the ION's feature set and performance has earned a loyal following from seasoned mountain guides to resort freeriders looking to go deeper beyond the boundary lines. Easy, confident step-in sets the tone of the day so you can put your gear in the back of your mind and focus on what really matters - your ski objective. Forward pressure and optimal energy absorption provide a smooth, reliable ride that aggressive skiers have been begging for in the backcountry. Simply put, it’s the highest performing, most user friendly and most reliable lightweight tech binding you could ask for. Power up, then charge the descent.
Same renowned feature set as the ION 12, with a lower Release Value 4 – 10. Now you can pick the ION that best matches your skiing! Otherwise it's the same lightweight, high-performance touring binding weighing in at only 585 g (1 lb 4.6 oz) per binding.
You asked for it and we answered. Enter a sleek, lighter, brakeless version of the ION 12, designed for gram counters, minimalists, and ski-mountaineers. The new ION LT 12 is the highest performance binding in its category, weighing in at only 456 g (1 lb) per binding, but still boasting the ION's renowned ski performance and feature set. To shave the weight we minimized the boot stop and heel rest, and removal of the brakes. Instead, the ION LT 12 comes with a set of 2 coiled cable leashes that are easy to install and use with any ski boot.
The TARGA Ascent combines the award winning, lightweight TARGA T/9 with a pole-activated free pivot system, easily switching the binding from tour to ski mode. The TARGA Ascent combines the award winning, lightweight TARGA T/9 with a pole-activated free pivot system, easily switching the binding from tour to ski mode. In tour mode, the Ascent toe plate pivots unrestricted on a stainless steel axle, eliminating the burden of boot flex resistance. Biomechanically engineered for a natural feel and efficient stride, the Ascent's pivot point is located 7mm forward of the 'pin-line', quickly transforming telemarkers to trailbreakers. A flick of the switch easily converts the Ascent into an aggressive high performance binding. A stainless steel sliding retainer moves into place above a forged stainless steel retention bar, securing the Ascent into ski mode. The 3° wedge and 40mm rise further enhances the skiing performance over and above its T/9 predecessor, eliminating rocker launch and engaging the powerful G3 compression spring cartridges for outstanding downhill control. For further touring convenience, the TARGA Ascent also includes a new, pole activated, elastomer-spring climbing heel, providing 70mm of rise and a very clean design.
Functional manual binding made for backcountry touring With a wide-wing profile derived from the medal-winning cross country racing bindings, the Magnum features an extra-wide - 67 mm - contoured steering plate designed to increase the contact area between boot sole and binding plate. This, in turn, will greatly improve stability and deliver more turning power to ski edges. The Magnum's sleek design also features a large manual-closing lever for easy latching. Although the binding has been designed for use on wide skis, it may be used on skis with a minimum 52 mm width.
The NTN Freedom binding is lighter weight and offers a greater range of motion in free-pivot touring mode than its burlier cousin, the NTN Freeride binding. Paired with an NTN boot, which is lighter than a traditional 75 mm telemark boot, the NTN Freedom binding sets the new standard for light weight and performance for telemark skiing.
Lightweight touring binding for uncompromising backcountry adventure. For alpine touring performance, the MTN + Leash binding boasts convenience, reliability, and light weight. The precision Lowtech system has multiple climbing aid heights with quick, easy access, and the wider screw pattern gives you confidence descending. Specification: Convenient:Access the climbing aids with less manipulation because you dont need to turn the heel, and step in more easily with Salomons patented step-in aid technology. Secure your backcountry-hungry boards to your tele boots with the Voile Hardwire 3-Pin Telemark Ski Bindings, and go break trail. The unique heel assembly locks to the heel plate so you can tour with only your toe attached to the Hardwire’s durable aluminum 3-pin toe box. That means zero uphill resistance for quick strides up the skin track.
The Voile Switchback X2 Telemark Ski Binding turns a good idea into a great one. Designed with the same free-pivoting, ice-free concept as Voile's original Switchback Binding, the Switchback X2 features a longer toe plate for greater contact with your boot and stiffer cartridge springs for extra control when driving those big powder skis. With all that tech, you'd expect to pay a weight penalty, but Voile Managed to keep it around 3.2 pounds per pair, which makes it the lightest AT tele binder around.
The Voile 3-Pin Cable Telemark Binding provides the best of both worlds when it comes to backcountry and resort skiing versatility. The toe piece is constructed with the same design as Voile's Heavy Duty 3-Pin Binding. The cable provides increased control when skiing downhill or breaking trail through less than ideal conditions. With the Voile 3-Pin telemark binding toe pieces as a back-up, the 3-pin Cable provides the most fail-safe binding system available for backcountry or resort telemark skiing.
From blasting down wind-buffed snow in the resort to getting low in deep backcountry pow, the 22 Designs Outlaw X Binding is a true do-it-all freeheel clamp. Building off the success of its first NTN offering, 22 Designs took the same sweet flex, instant engagement, and massive spring travel of the first iteration of the Outlaw and refined it a bit by introducing a new claw that allows for easy entry into the binding and an equally simple exit via the pole-activated mechanism. So if you're making the transition from duckbill boots to an NTN setup, you won't have to stoop down to fiddle with heel bails when you're gunning for first chair or getting ready for the descent on a steep, precarious ridge in the backcountry. The Outlaw X borrows the same free-pivot performance made famous by the Axl and has a similar six-hole mounting pattern for the secure ski-to-binding retention aggressive freeheelers demand when arcing GS-style turns in the resort or backcountry. The spring-loaded climbing bail engages with a quick flick of the pole to reduce leg strain when touring in steep terrain, and the main die spring can be adjusted between five different settings to get the ideal amount of tension you need to suit your turning style. And while the main spring is adjustable, 22 Designs is also offering an additional stiffy spring set (sold separate) for skiers that prefer a stiff, aggressive feel from their bindings.

Available in 3 rolling resistances, the 910 is slow, the 920 medium-slow and the 930 medium. The preferred model for the average skier is the 930 and for World Cup skiers the 910. A Contemporary Terra ski. The old Terra was stable and could be used on both paved and on hard packed dirt roads. However, we were forced to discontinue the Terra as our wheel supplier was unable to provide product in a predictable manner. The Terra was Kristina Smigun’s favorite classic ski. She was a double Olympic Gold medalist in 2006 and after giving birth to daughter Victoria in 2008, and not racing for two seasons, she captured Olympic Silver in 2010. An amazing skier and wonderful person. Many skiers told me the Terra was too heavy for proper training, but Olympic results show otherwise. Just like Kristina, two other Olympic medalists used the Terra for classic training. In the 2002, 2006 and 2010 Olympics Kristina and her Terra training ski mates captured four Gold, one Silver and one Bronze medal. Kristina told me the Terra made her stronger than training on lighter smaller wheel classic skis. We began to ship the XL9848 in April of 2011 and it’s turning out to be one of our best selling classic skis. This season the XL9848 is only available with an aluminum shaft, but when we have increased composite capacity we might be able to offer the XL9848 with a composite shaft. With the wide wheels it’s stable and the 98 mm wheels provide a comfortable ride. It’s also safer than smaller wheel skis as the larger wheels can roll over objects that stop the 70 to 80 mm wheels. Like all XL skis this model accepts the lighter and less expensive XL type Brake. The DPS Wailer A100 RP Ski continues the legacy of DPS's premier deep snow ski that is known for its best-selling shape, deep rocker profile, and lightweight but responsive construction. The ski-able shape is created by the combination of taper in the tip and tail and a short 15m turn radius. The taper in the tip and tail allows you to break the edges free for extremely quick pivoting control, while the 15m turn radius encourages tight slalom turns when you really lay into the edge. This control is accentuated by the deep rocker in the tip and tail that further helps you break the edge free when needed, and the camber underfoot that allows you to hold a firm edge when the snow gets less soft.
Hot off the presses: introducing the new Wailer Grom (148cm and 158cm), $499 USD. This new junior ski arrives just in time for a full season of gravity operations. Following countless requests over the years from both parents and young shredders alike, we are proud to introduce an all-mountain/mixed snow offering for those making their way up through the ranks. When you are still light and shorter with less overall mass to float, 87mm underfoot provides ample lift in all but the deepest snow. The relationship of ski surface area to body size should feel equivalent to a 106mm underfoot ski driven by a full grown adult. The tapered tips and tails and subtle rocker cues blend the Grom’s ability to carve on the groomers while providing predictable, high-performance security and balance in crud and mixed snow. For everyday riding in places that offer good off-piste, the Wailer Grom will open up new sensations and opportunities toward building technical, high performance skiing in the big mountains for the younger set.
At 790 grams, the DYNAFIT PDG Ski was developed for ski runners and backcountry ski competitors. This model is a classic training ski that is designed for durability and stability despite minimal weight. The racing ski's cap construction guarantees minimal weight and, at the same time, the ski is nimble and forgiving on the descent. Its 3D shovel construction ensures you get optimum damping properties which in turn give you a nimble ski that contributes to forgiving ski performance. The Paulownia wood core -- in the racing segment only the best 10 percent of the wood is used -- provides the optimum ratio of weight to stability. An additional fiberglass layer and carbon speed stringers give this training and competition ski extra stability. Openings in front of and behind the binding, work to eliminate additional density.
